Each age group puts on their very own fully produced show during the final week of camp.
2019 Show Information

Act/Tunes Players - Grades 9-11 - Children of Eden
Act/Tunes is our Musical Production for our oldest artists.  Past shows include You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Once on This Island, West Side Story, Wonderful Town, Chicago, Into the Woods and the Addams Family.

Proscenium Players - Grades 9-11 - Selected One Acts from Thornton Wilder
The Proscenium Players is our Non-musical offering for our oldest artists.  Past shows include Greater Tuna, Rumors, Tartuffe, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Fools, The Big Eleven, Circle of Fire and Peter and the Starcatcher.

Act II Players - Grades 6-8 - Disney's Frozen Jr.
The Act II Players is a Musical Prodution for our artists in Middle School.  Past shows include The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Seussical, Cinderella, Honk, Dear Edwina, Annie, Shrek and James and the Giant Peach.


GreasePaint Kids - Grades 3-5 - Disney Winnie the Pooh, Jr.
The GreasePaint Kids is a Musical Prodution for our artists in Grades 4-5.  Past shows include How to Eat Like a Child, Really Rosey, The Ransom of Red Chief, I Believe in Make Believe and A Year with Frog and Toad Kids.


 Spotlight Players - Grades 3-11 - Willie Wonka, Jr.
As part of our 3-week Program campers will have the option of signing up for a fully produced Musical Production!  Past shows include Snoopy!, The Lion King, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Zombie Prom and Willie Wonka, Jr..

Classes

Each camper selects his/her own schedule from a broad array of courses. Nothing is compulsory. Design your own schedule to reflect your interests and passions. MSSA offers a program rich in possibilities.

Art Department

Acrylic painting, watercolor painting ceramics, illustrations, drawing, mixed media, fabric design, jewelry, cartooning, sculpture, print-making.


Theater Department

Fractured Fairytales, From Page to Stage, Audition Techniques, Scene Study, Musical Theatre Scene, Improv, Comedy Club, Backstage Magic, Scenic Painting, Lighting and Sound Design, Costume Design, Stage Combat, Stage Make-Up.


Media/Film Department

Stop Motion Animation, Digital Photography, Video Production, Film School, News Flash Journalism, Yearbook, Creative Writing, Short Shorts, Playwriting, Graphic Design.


Dance Department

Intro to Broadway Dance, Modern, Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz, Dance for Fun.


Music Department

Jazz Band, Strike Up the Band, Guitar, Rockappella, Intro to Acapella, Percussion, Show Choir, Steel Drums, Taiko Drumming.


Recreation Department

Swimming, Games, Lego Maniacs.
